Due to the high volume being sold, the manufacturer can afford to take a smaller profit on each individual unit. If you are looking to buy a new car, either now or at some point in the near future, then an extended five year warranty is something you will want to consider very seriously indeed. There is really no bumper to bumper extended warranty offered by third parties, so it is not really a case of just being able to replace the missing years later.
